Job Description:

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in facilitating operations at a local USCIS Field Office. Key responsibilities include assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work of department staff, reporting daily production statistics to the Site Manager, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring team completes all work assignments accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Workload Management: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and review work of department staff to ensure timely completion
  • Reporting: Report daily production statistics to the Site Manager
  • Prioritization: Prioritize workloads to meet goals established by USCIS
  • Team Support: Ensure team completes all work assignments accurately, including daily time sheets
  • Attendance and Absences: Monitor attendance and absences
  • Priority Assignments: Facilitate the processing of priority assignments from USCIS
  • Performance Improvement: Identify and address issues in work performance
  • Staff Supervision: Schedule contractor staff, approve time off, initiate disciplinary actions, mentor staff, and collaborate with the Site Manager to ensure best practices are in place
  • Training and Development: Train new employees, create training plans, and develop written standard operating procedures
  • Communication: Participate in meetings with government personnel and serve as the Point of Contact for site operations in the Site Manager's absence

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 3 years of related experience required
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Language: Ability to read and understand proficiently in English
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment, perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching

Benefits:
