About the Job

The Institute for Family Health is seeking a highly skilled Practice Administrator Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our healthcare facilities. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with electronic health records (EHR) technology.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to manage the administrative functions of our practice, including supervising staff, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate lead patient services representatives
  • Act as a resource for staff regarding operational problems or questions
  • Oversee and resolve problems relating to practice systems
  • Monitor schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure adequate staffing coverage
  • Investigate and resolve patient billing problems
  • Process sliding-fee scale requests and determine discounts
  • Reconcile petty cash and daily office cash collections
  • Prepare statistics on practice operations
  • Perform Patient Service Representative functions as required
  • Assist senior-level administration with special projects
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria
  • Coordinate training of new employees
  • Perform Epic system audits and develop plans of correction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of lead patient services representative experience or 3 years of Institute for Family Health experience
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred
  • Basic computer and internet navigational skills required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and EHR technology
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required

Salary

$47,000 - $52,000 per year
