Customer Support Specialist

Silverchair, a leading independent platform partner for scholarly and professional publishers, is seeking a Customer Care Advisor to provide exceptional support to academic and scholarly scientific, technical, and medical publishing customers. This role involves serving as the first point of contact for assistance via phone, email, chat, or customer service systems, cultivating an extensive understanding of the ScholarOne platform, and gathering information from customers to efficiently diagnose and understand issues.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent professional oral and written communication skills, robust problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to collaborating effectively as part of an international team in a high-performance work environment. A two-year undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science, information science, or a related field, with past technical support or customer support experience working for a software company, is required. Experience with ScholarOne or the STEM publishing industry is a plus.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The estimated salary for this role is around $70,000 per year.
