Position Overview:
Our client, a leading consumer engagement platform, is in search of an Interim Accounting Manager. This crucial role is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the month-end closing process.

The ideal candidate will oversee a small team and collaborate closely with the Controller to prepare the accounting department for a potential IPO.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month, quarter, and year-end closing processes for the general ledger team.
  • Evaluate current and historical trends in key performance indicators, focusing on revenue and expense areas.
  • Ensure that invoicing and collections are managed effectively.
  • Enhance and refine processes related to accounts receivable.
  • Guarantee that month-end journal entries are accurately recorded within the designated timeframe.
  • Establish and uphold suitable internal controls.
  • Track performance indicators, identify trends, and analyze causes of any unexpected variances.
  • Collaborate with Financial Analysts to pinpoint opportunities for improving revenue performance and optimizing expenses.
  • Provide necessary support to the accounting department, particularly in month-end completion and reporting.
  • Conduct Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis, including the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Commerce); CPA designation preferred but not mandatory.
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience; experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firms) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite; knowledge of Ramp is a plus.
  • Experience in pre-IPO and recently public companies within high-growth accounting teams is essential.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and various pre-IPO technical accounting areas.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with systems; self-motivated with practical experience.
