- Ensure accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements, including intercompany transactions and agreements.
- Facilitate a rapid month-end close process through proactive management of accounting entries.
- Establish and uphold internal controls.
- Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Act as a liaison for external auditors.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely payment processes and adherence to policies.
- Enhance policies and procedures across all accounting functions.
- Collaborate with external auditors to complete statutory audits.
- Oversee calculations related to RBC and IBNR, along with other insurance reserves.
- Manage various financial statutory filings, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Design processes to ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience with a Big 4 firm is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in ERP systems and tax preparation software.
- Experience in the health insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
