Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, cash management, payroll, debt compliance, and fixed asset management.
  • Enhance and streamline the month-end closing process, ensuring precision and punctuality.
  • Execute treasury functions and manage online banking systems.
  • Conduct technical accounting research on new US GAAP standards and guarantee compliance with external auditors.
  • Mentor and lead the finance team, promoting ongoing improvement and development.
  • Establish and uphold strong internal controls while ensuring adherence to reporting obligations.
  • Facilitate the annual audit and tax processes, acting as the primary liaison with external audit and tax entities.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll procedures and play a vital role in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with lender requirements and timelines.
  • Assist in strategizing and executing the integration of future acquisitions.
  • Lead special financial projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including a minimum of two years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in managing project-based revenue cycles.
  • CPA designation preferred with comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in relation to software firms.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to cultivate a positive, accountability-focused team.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Heightened sense of urgency, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in anticipating inquiries and providing financial guidance beyond the accounting department.
Compensation:

The determination of compensation for this position at Vaco is influenced by various factors, including the individual's skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other organizational needs. As mandated by local regulations, Vaco provides the following salary range as a reasonable estimate for this role: $180K - $210K per year.
