Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist is accountable for comprehensive bookkeeping duties, including managing accounts payable, processing payroll, generating financial reports, and executing various general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned. This role also involves overseeing the monthly invoicing processes required by grant agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the general ledger, including the accounting closing cycle and monthly closing entries.
  • Develop and uphold standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately verified, posted, and reconciled in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain daily cash flow management.
  • Reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts.
