Key Responsibilities

The Project Management Advisor will be responsible for overseeing various construction initiatives and tasks at client locations.

  • Lead and manage multiple simultaneous construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Possess the capability to manage financials ranging from $250K to $20M.
  • Establish and nurture robust, trusting relationships with clients, fostering collaboration to generate innovative solutions.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the project management lifecycle and the roles of each team member, including architects, engineers, and consultants, while effectively managing team dynamics.
  • Coordinate project requirements and activities with the client's operations, including scheduling work during off-hours for necessary shutdowns.
  • Collaborate closely with the client's Environmental Health & Safety team to ensure compliance with contractor training and safety certifications.
  • Oversee the project process to ensure client objectives are met within financial and scheduling parameters, while identifying and mitigating issues related to logistics, cost, quality, and progress.
  • Review and assess project-related documents, including descriptions, drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, contracts, and proposals, ensuring they align with project goals.
  • Manage the bidding process and contract negotiations, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare project-related documentation such as monthly reports, budgets, schedules, and cash flow management.
  • Supervise general contractors, architects, and engineers regarding deliverables and project commitments.
  • Track submissions, change orders, and requests for information (RFIs) related to the project.
  • Review payment requests and invoices for accuracy, confirming completed work.
  • Ensure quarterly spending forecasts are met and manage capital expenditures across multiple fiscal years.
  • Familiarity with Smart-Sheets and Autodesk BIM is advantageous, along with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Manage client stakeholders concerning security, IT, and audiovisual needs, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are integrated into the overall schedule.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to monitor ongoing construction, complete punch lists, and verify work quality.
  • Complete the project closeout process, finalizing payments, collecting As-Builts, issuing lien waivers, and obtaining final inspections.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or Real Estate from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of project management experience, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction, architecture, and commercial real estate sectors.
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings, design concepts, and construction costs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam.
  • Certifications such as CCM, PMP, and/or LEED AP are preferred.
