Role Overview

As the Construction Project Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the project control strategy, ensuring production rates and quality standards are met across all projects.
  • Setting baseline construction schedules and monitoring adherence to timelines.
  • Obtaining necessary building permits, licenses, and occupancy certificates.
  • Overseeing construction activities through administrative guidance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while addressing any significant issues that arise.
  • Managing the financial components of contracts, including fee payments and expense tracking, to safeguard the company's interests while fostering positive relationships with clients and architects.
  • Facilitating meetings with project stakeholders to discuss approvals, progress, challenges, and scheduling.
  • Assisting in the preparation of bid day documentation.
  • Documenting meeting outcomes promptly.
  • Coordinating progress meetings with trade contractors and construction superintendents.
  • Ensuring timely scheduling of equipment, materials, and shop drawing submissions.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities or special projects as required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Construction Project Leader will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in project management.
  • Proven experience in managing healthcare or life science projects.
  • Experience with both fit-out and ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • A working knowledge of Procore.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
