Role Overview
As the Construction Project Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the project control strategy, ensuring production rates and quality standards are met across all projects.
- Setting baseline construction schedules and monitoring adherence to timelines.
- Obtaining necessary building permits, licenses, and occupancy certificates.
- Overseeing construction activities through administrative guidance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while addressing any significant issues that arise.
- Managing the financial components of contracts, including fee payments and expense tracking, to safeguard the company's interests while fostering positive relationships with clients and architects.
- Facilitating meetings with project stakeholders to discuss approvals, progress, challenges, and scheduling.
- Assisting in the preparation of bid day documentation.
- Documenting meeting outcomes promptly.
- Coordinating progress meetings with trade contractors and construction superintendents.
- Ensuring timely scheduling of equipment, materials, and shop drawing submissions.
- Taking on additional responsibilities or special projects as required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal Construction Project Leader will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7-10+ years of experience in project management.
- Proven experience in managing healthcare or life science projects.
- Experience with both fit-out and ground-up construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- A working knowledge of Procore.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
