Job Summary

Waste Pro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Driver to join our team. As a Waste Management Driver with Tanker Endorsement, you will be responsible for operating a company service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms or holding tanks. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate a Service Truck: Drive a company service truck to and from pre-designated work sites, following daily routing information and Decision Driving principles.
  • Service Portable Restrooms and Holding Tanks: Deliver and return portable restrooms, service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, showers, etc., at various work sites, following the Company's servicing guidelines.
  • Restock and Clean Units: Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in units being serviced, and clean interior and exterior of units, making repairs as needed, and adding chemical solution to portable restroom units.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide a Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of service to customers, exhibiting a positive attitude towards company, customer, and municipal goals.
  • Perform Daily Inspections: Perform Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines, completing Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines.
  • Maintain a Clean Truck: Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly, inspecting and cleaning the truck as needed.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents.
  • Perform Other Tasks as Required: Perform other tasks as required, such as assisting other routes for completion, attending community events, or delivery of bins and/or carts.
Requirements
  • Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement: Must have a Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement valid for the state in which the position works, with a clean driving record meeting Waste Pro driving guidelines.
  • Previous Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 (seven) years.
  • Age and Physical Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age or older, and physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between a day, lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between a day, get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle between a day, bend at the waist and knees between a day, and work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch, and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and make legible entries on paperwork.
Work Environment

Drives truck on pre-established route, manual transmission, exposure to vibration, gets in and out of the truck multiple times per day. Empties portable restrooms using pump truck. Exposure to human waste. Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
