The demand for advanced outage management tools is rapidly increasing within the utility sector. Role Responsibilities
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to play a key role in the development of our industry-leading Outage Management System (OMS). In this capacity, you will:

  • Collaborate with fellow developers, architects, and stakeholders to design and implement top-tier software solutions.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and technical leaders to translate product needs into functional requirements.
  • Design and develop reliable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant code based on requirements and user stories.
  • Act as a technical leader for small teams (1-3 additional developers) on intricate projects.
  • Ensure code reliability through the development of unit tests and test automation tools.
  • Participate in code and design reviews.
  • Mentor and train team members in your areas of expertise.
  • Engage in agile team ceremonies, including scrum, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Investigate and resolve reported software malfunctions.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in object-oriented programming (Java, C++, C#, Python, etc.).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in web-based programming (JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS).
  • A passion for developing scalable and optimized software systems.
  • Experience in test-driven development and the ability to unit test code.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and automation tools (e.g., Roadrunner, Locust, VisualVM).
  • Extensive knowledge of interacting with databases (Mongo, Oracle DB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite preferred).
  • Preferred experience with RESTful Web Services.
  • An expert understanding of algorithms and complex data structures.
  • Experience in user interface design and adapting approaches based on user feedback is preferred.
