Position Overview
Big I Minnesota is on the lookout for a dedicated individual who embodies our core principles of being open-minded, diligent, optimistic, and a collaborative team member while maintaining the highest standards of integrity. This role will initially focus on customer service responsibilities, with the potential to evolve into an agent position based on demonstrated skills and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries, and take messages as needed.
- Facilitate new client intake processes for agents to provide quotes.
- Work under the guidance of your team lead, including but not limited to:
- Maintain organized, paperless client records in line with company procedures.
- Complete assigned projects from your team lead for training and development.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail, respond to correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
- Engage with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide information and address inquiries.
- Assist in keeping client contact information up-to-date.
- Conduct research on client account inquiries.
- Manage schedules and coordinate appointments.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
- Travel as necessary for training and development purposes.
- Efficiently manage and execute tasks across the organization.
- Embrace travel opportunities to foster collaboration and support across various locations.
Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain an insurance license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support is preferred.
- Proven customer service experience and orientation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively interact with all levels of management, colleagues, and external contacts.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in technical computer skills and familiar with business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM systems).
- Ability to multitask and maintain focus amidst frequent interruptions.
- Capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
