Orthopedic Care Specialist

PennState Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Orthopedics team in Enola, Pennsylvania. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.
About the RoleAs an RN in our Orthopedics department, you will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Responsibilities- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and report any adverse reactions or changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- BLS certification required prior to orientation completion; ACLS certification obtained within the specified timeframe.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not mandatory for consideration.
We offer a competitive salary range of $76,500 - $103,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we provide a range of benefits, including:
