Customer Service Representative

At SpartanNash, we strive to deliver exceptional customer experiences through our front-end operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, supervising and directing front-end activities, and ensuring that our store's front-end operations contribute to the company's financial best interests.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately process all transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT cards, and vendor coupons.
- Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled promptly and in an orderly manner, with a focus on perishable items.
- Knowledgeably assist customers with product locations, advertised items, special prices, and coupon deals.
- Train and supervise others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
- Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
- Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
- Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
- Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
- Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Proficient computer skills, including email and spreadsheets.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Accounting/Bookkeeping skills.
- Interpret/Analyze Financials.
- Develop/Manage Budgets.
- Delegate/Direct/Implement.
- Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products.
- Detail Oriented.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
