Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Communication: Engage with patients to schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and provide phone confirmations for evaluations.
  2. Cost Explanation: Clearly communicate visit costs to patients and elucidate their benefits as necessary.
  3. Payment Collection: Process patient payments and compile visit totals, ensuring accurate batch collections at the end of each day.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with rehabilitation staff and therapists to clarify referral requests and address scheduling requirements.
  5. Data Management: Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance details, preparing intake packets for the following day and scanning documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system as required.
  6. Project Assistance: Support the Rehabilitation Front Office Supervisor with special projects as needed.
  7. Phone Management: Handle incoming calls for the Rehabilitation Department and manage fax communications.
  8. Quality Assurance: Contribute to achieving goals related to patient care quality, satisfaction, and treatment compliance by addressing patient needs effectively.
  9. Cancellation Management: Oversee patient cancellations according to departmental protocols, including scheduling from the waitlist.
  10. Chart Creation: Assist in the development of new patient charts.
  11. DME Documentation: Confirm delivery proof for durable medical equipment (DME) and manage Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) documents.
  12. Progress Note Scheduling: Schedule due progress notes for patient evaluations.
  13. Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

The individual in this role must demonstrate the necessary competencies required for effective performance in this position.
