- Collaboration: Work closely with rehabilitation staff and therapists to clarify referral requests and address scheduling requirements.
- Data Management: Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance details, preparing intake packets for the following day and scanning documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system as required.
- Project Assistance: Support the Rehabilitation Front Office Supervisor with special projects as needed.
- Phone Management: Handle incoming calls for the Rehabilitation Department and manage fax communications.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to achieving goals related to patient care quality, satisfaction, and treatment compliance by addressing patient needs effectively.
- Cancellation Management: Oversee patient cancellations according to departmental protocols, including scheduling from the waitlist.
- Chart Creation: Assist in the development of new patient charts.
- DME Documentation: Confirm delivery proof for durable medical equipment (DME) and manage Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) documents.
- Progress Note Scheduling: Schedule due progress notes for patient evaluations.
- Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
The individual in this role must demonstrate the necessary competencies required for effective performance in this position.
