Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Lead Engineer to join our team at Empower AI Inc. in Reston, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies and protocols to ensure the security and integrity of our information systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks and threats.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with DoD IT policy and procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior cybersecurity engineers and teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our systems remain secure and compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a lead or management role.
  • Proven experience in creating RMF packages and entering data into eMASS to obtain ATO/ATC.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Possess a current IAM Level II certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), and/or Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Experience in coordinating and conducting a Security Control Assessment – Validation.
  • Five years of experience maintaining and managing client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
  • Possess a current professional level Computing Environment certification.
