About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at BECU. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing and maintaining a seamless enterprise infrastructure that supports our mission of delivering uninterrupted service to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and implement cybersecurity tools and services to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Lead incident response investigations and ensure the immediate containment of threats.
  • Help enhance and adjust BECU's policies, standards, and guidelines to keep up with evolving threats and technologies.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tooling and identify necessary upgrades to products and platforms.
  • Run monitoring, alerting, and escalation tasks for cybersecurity events and stay ahead of threats with a proactive, defensive approach.
  • Support cybersecurity operations across cloud, mobile, on-prem, and co-location platforms using digital-first strategies and industry best practices.
  • Develop and validate documentation for the processes and procedures related to Cybersecurity tooling.
  • Assist in the implementation of controls and requirements for cybersecurity across all compute and storage platforms.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, or equivalent education or work experience.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in cyber security, security engineering, network engineering, computer incident response, systems architecture, digital platform security (cloud), or related experience.
  • Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification. Additional certifications in cloud technology such as CCSK or CCSP.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
  • Proven ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner.
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
