Job Summary:

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing endpoint security solutions in an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
  • Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS
  • At least 2 years of experience with mixed operating system environments (Mac, Microsoft, Linux)
  • At least 2 years of experience with endpoint security deployments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 2+ years of experience with configuration & incident management
  • 2+ years experience in one of the following security tools (EDR, NXLOG, OSQuery, Sysmon)
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, EC2 instances, Lambda functions, RDS or Route53
  • Experience with SIEM platforms for querying and analyzing log data
  • Experience support endpoint security tools (EDR, Encryption, Behavior Analysis, Hunt & Response)
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python or Go)
  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in large distributed teams
