Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:
Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing endpoint security solutions in an AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
- Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
- Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS
- At least 2 years of experience with mixed operating system environments (Mac, Microsoft, Linux)
- At least 2 years of experience with endpoint security deployments
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
- 2+ years of experience with configuration & incident management
- 2+ years experience in one of the following security tools (EDR, NXLOG, OSQuery, Sysmon)
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, EC2 instances, Lambda functions, RDS or Route53
- Experience with SIEM platforms for querying and analyzing log data
- Experience support endpoint security tools (EDR, Encryption, Behavior Analysis, Hunt & Response)
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python or Go)
- Ability to write SQL queries
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in large distributed teams
