About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at BECU. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing and maintaining a seamless enterprise infrastructure that supports our mission of delivering uninterrupted service to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and implement cybersecurity tools and services to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Lead incident response investigations and ensure the immediate containment of threats.
  • Adapt policies and standards to keep up with evolving threats and technologies.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tooling.
  • Identify necessary upgrades to products and platforms and pinpoint operational gaps.
  • Proactively monitor and defend against cybersecurity threats.
  • Operate security tools across cloud, mobile, on-prem, and co-location platforms.
  • Document processes and procedures related to cybersecurity tooling.
  • Support infrastructure controls and contribute to process development for integrating cybersecurity tools.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in the Security Incident Response Team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or equivalent education or work experience.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, network engineering, computer incident response, systems architecture, digital platform security (cloud), or related experience.
  • Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
  • Proven ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner.
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
