Join Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), where we are developing large-scale, resilient distributed systems aimed at optimizing our fulfillment operations. These systems analyze billions of signals and events daily within a sophisticated IoT ecosystem that incorporates material handling equipment, automation, machine vision, robotics, data analytics, machine learning, and cloud computing.

Your Role:
- Design, develop, and test software components that interact with cutting-edge fulfillment technologies.
- Implement software solutions adhering to best practices and high-quality standards.
- Architect large-scale data storage solutions for high-frequency data with low-latency access.
- Contribute to the establishment of coding standards and participate in code and design reviews.
- Provide accurate estimates for development tasks and collaborate with project leaders on timelines.
- Mentor junior engineers, helping them develop essential skills and best practices.
- Document and communicate technical concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Engage in in-depth technical discussions, advocating for your ideas while collaborating with teammates to find optimal solutions.
- Identify technical and project risks, taking proactive steps to mitigate them.

About Our Team:
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) drives the innovation behind Amazon's global fulfillment network. We create and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that streamline processes, integrate robots, machines, and personnel, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly.
Workforce Optimization:
The Workforce Optimization team within AFT develops innovative platforms and products to automate labor management and staffing decisions across Amazon's global fulfillment network.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
