Your Role
We are seeking a driven and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Labor Planning and Tech (LP&T) team. Your mission will be to create applications that improve labor planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and expedite decision-making processes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of essential products and features.
- Exhibit exceptional technical leadership, with a proven track record in developing AWS solutions aimed at achieving 100% application availability.
- Engage in full-stack development, working on scalable backend services, distributed data processing systems, and user-friendly interfaces, with opportunities in data science and machine learning.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in building scalable software applications, managing medium to large-scale projects within the AWS ecosystem.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining innovative software solutions.
- Strong adherence to software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- A commitment to mentoring and developing fellow engineers, leading by example and upholding high standards.
- A proactive approach to collaboration, establishing partnerships with various teams to access and interpret data effectively.
- Leadership in discussions, providing guidance to product, operational, and engineering teams on significant improvement initiatives.

Knowledge sharing will be encouraged through documentation, design reviews, code reviews, and collaborative coding sessions. You will advocate for automation and drive efficiencies in our operations for the benefit of our customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
