Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Maintainer to join our team at the State of Connecticut. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist higher-grade employees in the operation of equipment and perform custodial maintenance tasks
  • Perform heavy maintenance on buildings and grounds, including grading and finishing projects
  • Operate and maintain mowing equipment, wood chippers, and other machinery
  • Assist with refuse collection and sanding/plowing operations
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance equipment and procedures
