Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Records Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient medical records, ensuring timely and accurate processing of physician orders, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process and track physician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and submit claims for reimbursement, ensuring compliance with payor guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient processing of medical records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills and proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in healthcare, medical records, or billing.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing principles.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
