Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant/ Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant/ Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Initiate and document patient orders, including medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
- Interpret laboratory and test results, and communicate findings to patients and healthcare team members
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area preferred
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner in New York State required
- Current BLS certification required
