We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiothoracic Stepdown team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess and manage patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Cardiothoracic Nursing or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiothoracic Nursing or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Cardiothoracic Stepdown or Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
