We are looking for a proficient and driven Litigation Associate to enhance our legal department at Distinct | North America. In this role, you will play a crucial part in various litigation matters, which includes conducting legal research, drafting essential legal documents, and representing clients in judicial proceedings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive legal research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Draft critical legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Assist in managing cases by organizing documentation and maintaining case files.
  • Prepare for and engage in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Work alongside senior attorneys to formulate effective case strategies.
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in the litigation process.
  • Negotiate settlements when deemed appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Admission to the state bar association.
  • Exceptional writing abilities with a knack for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
  • Proficient in legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple cases concurrently.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not mandatory.
