Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform legal research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Draft essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assist in managing cases by organizing documentation and maintaining case files
  • Prepare for and engage in depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Work alongside senior attorneys to formulate effective case strategies
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in the litigation process
  • Negotiate settlements when suitable
  • Stay informed on pertinent laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Exceptional writing abilities with a knack for drafting clear and concise legal documents
  • Proficient in legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple cases concurrently
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not mandatory
