Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive legal research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Assist in managing cases by organizing documentation and maintaining case records.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys to formulate case strategies.
  • Engage in communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties in the litigation process.
  • Negotiate settlements when deemed appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Membership in the state bar association.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the capability to produce clear and concise legal documents.
  • Expertise in legal research utilizing resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases concurrently.
  • Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Prior experience in litigation is advantageous but not mandatory.
