Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team at Ledbetter Law Group, a specialized firm dedicated to estate planning, business organization, real estate, and estate/trust administration.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $65,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing legal correspondence
  • Drafting essential legal documents
  • Creating Wills, trusts, and advance directives
  • Engaging with clients effectively
  • Coordinating with financial institutions
  • Collaborating with other law offices
  • Interfacing with the County Clerk's office
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and relevant parties
  • Executing various administrative tasks to organize and manage files (copying, scanning, faxing, etc.)
  • Utilizing Excel spreadsheets as needed
  • Accurately tracking billable hours
  • Managing a caseload of active files
  • Working closely with the Lead Paralegal and Attorney
  • Participating in firm events, including client appreciation and team-building activities
  • Keeping an up-to-date case list
  • Contributing to a firm with a strong reputation in the community
  • Collaborating directly with the supervising attorney
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Timely completion of assignments
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Efficient in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
  • Detail-oriented and capable of independent work as well as collaboration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Familiarity with Practice Panther client management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous in file documentation
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with timekeeping software and legal office settings
  • Background in estate planning and business organization matters
  • Understanding of time management principles
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Paralegal certification is advantageous
  • Florida Notary Public certification
  • Ability to act as a notary public
  • Background check and references required
