Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Supervisor of Case Planning is tasked with overseeing a team of Case Planners within an Enhanced Family Foster Care initiative. This role is pivotal in guiding Case Planners to incorporate trauma-informed approaches into their case management practices. The supervisor will mentor Case Planners on effectively utilizing trauma response frameworks in their daily interactions with children, parents/caregivers, and foster families. Furthermore, the supervisor will employ a Solutions-Based Casework methodology in engagements with Case Planners, youth, biological parents, and foster caregivers. The Enhanced Family Foster Care model integrates evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies into case planning to meet safety and permanency objectives efficiently.

Compensation Structure:

  • Masters: $65,000 to $73,000
  • Masters / Language: $67,000 to $75,000
  • Masters / License: $70,000 to $78,000
  • Masters / License / Language: $72,000 to $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 4 Case Planners and a Socio-therapist, managing approximately 40 active cases.
  • Facilitate the achievement of Enhanced Family Foster Care goals by providing guidance on effective case planning.
  • Coordinate child welfare and administrative responsibilities of Case Planners, ensuring compliance with permanency policies and timelines.
  • Collaborate with TRIPP trainers to ensure staff proficiency in implementing the model.
  • Provide both group and individual supervision to Case Planners, addressing case-related challenges and reviewing progress.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to cases and supervisory activities.
  • Review and approve all FASPs, progress notes, court reports, and other essential documentation for quality assurance.
  • Engage in program development and quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Participate in weekly case discussions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related human services field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of documented supervisory experience in a relevant setting.
  • Understanding and appreciation of community needs and cultural diversity.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel within the metropolitan area.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, French, Creole, Mandarin, or Cantonese is advantageous.
