Job Title: Foster Care Case Aide

Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Foster Care Case Aide to join our team. As a key member of our foster care program, you will work closely with families, case planners, and other stakeholders to provide direct services and support to ensure the well-being and safety of children in care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with families and youth in care.
  • Coordinate and schedule weekly parenting time schedules and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with case planners to develop and implement monthly treatment plans.
  • Attend court proceedings, treatment team meetings, and other relevant meetings.
  • Meet with families or youth as needed to discuss progress and provide support.
  • Enter notes and record all case-related events into our database.
  • Attend scheduled unit meetings to discuss challenging cases and receive updates on new policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties, including incident reports, parenting time, and AWOC status.
  • Engage with parents during home assessments, treatment team meetings, and final discharge conferences.
  • Provide support to parents, case planning teams, and children in care.
  • Attend required training sessions and transitional meetings for new intakes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience in child welfare or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of social casework principles and practices.
  • Experience working with families and children, preferably in a medical or child welfare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients, relatives, and other individuals.
