About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Territory Mechanic to join our team at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands. As a Territory Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing high-volume light mechanical work and occasional medium-level repairs across our auction locations.

You will travel frequently to our auction branches, working closely with our Auction Managers and District Managers to ensure that our vehicles are running smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles
  • Work closely with Auction Managers and District Managers to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Manage parts ordering, reconciliation, and returns with national parts suppliers
  • Travel frequently to our auction branches, covering 50-75% of the territory
  • Prepare vehicle records and reports, both manually and on a computer
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of our Mobile Service Truck
  • Interact with Auction Managers through email and in-person communication as necessary
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience performing vehicle maintenance or equivalent experience with an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
  • Valid Driver's License and automotive required insurance
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Email
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to read reports, weather forecasts, and set plans accordingly to maximize time and success
  • Ability to place parts orders, maintain tracking, and handle refunds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
  • Robust toolset and toolbox
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various extreme temperature weather conditions
  • Mobile Mechanic field experience is a plus
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel 50-75% of the time
