Qualifications:
- HT/HTL certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience in performing rapid on-site evaluations is essential for this role.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Embedding and cutting of routine cases, including recuts, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) requests.
- Candidates should be able to embed 35-45 blocks per hour or cut an equivalent number of slides.
- No grossing experience is necessary for this position.
Core Functions:
- Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment.
- Analyze test results to ensure compliance with specifications, utilizing specialized mechanical and electrical devices.
- Gather and document test data to generate reports featuring charts, graphs, and narratives.
- Obtain specimens and cultivate, isolate, and identify microorganisms for further analysis.
- Consult with pathologists to finalize diagnoses when abnormalities are detected.
Essential Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques for human injuries and diseases.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in data analysis and accurate documentation of results.
