Job Description

The School of Engineering for Matter, Transport, and Energy (SEMTE) at Arizona State University is seeking a highly self-motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Academic Financial Specialist, Sr. Under the general direction of the Business Operations Manager, this individual will manage and implement SEMTE's daily business and financial operational transactions, such as processing financial transactions, preparing and processing budgets, managing school accounts, and managing reconciliations while ensuring adherence with established ASU policies and internal practice as designated by SEMTE.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and forecasts and enter information in budgeting software (i.e., Adaptive Planning)
• Manage multiple accounts of diverse funding sources for the school
• Process employee taxable reimbursements in Workday and Peoplesoft
• Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain files containing supporting documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, OR, Nine (9) years of directly related administrative experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Experience in account management, P-Card usage, policies, and procedures, and financial management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
