Patient Access Representative 1

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative 1 to join our team at The University of Miami. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a seamless registration experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a patient advocate and service ambassador, providing proactive attention to internal and external customers to meet or exceed expectations.
- Perform patient access registration related functions promptly, ensuring patient safety, quality, service levels, and reimbursement.
- Collect patient financial responsibility, including co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, and previous outstanding balances, to reduce AR, Bad Debt, and Collection Costs.
- Utilize electronic systems, including UChart Cadence/Prelude/Enterprise Billing, Passport HealthWorks Compliance Checker, and Availity, to acquire proficiency and provide accurate information.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One (1) year of customer service experience required; experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/French, English/Arabic) a plus.
