Job Summary
Closure Systems International is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection molding equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain hoses and ensure correct water flow on all molds.
- Set up conveyors and shielding to prevent part loss, adhering to engineering standards.
- Perform start-ups after mold changes, utilizing Mold Set Up Sheets provided by the COT Team.
- Efficiently complete color changes to minimize downtime, scrap, and customer complaints.
- Pull runners and perform minor mechanical tasks.
- Accurately capture and input data into the Global Shop Floor System.
- Provide ongoing mold care, including daily cleaning and autonomous maintenance.
- Use approved tools and solvents for specific tasks.
- Understand and troubleshoot mold safety protection and working aspects of each mold.
- Troubleshoot minor mold problems and contact the Help Chain in a timely manner.
- Understand and troubleshoot material loading systems.
- Shut down, pull runners, and restart molding machines efficiently.
- Perform daily material checks and process parameter checks.
- Salvage parts and raw materials to reduce waste.
- Complete 5's in assigned areas and professionally interact with colleagues to problem-solve.
- Follow all safety procedures and requirements, including PP and LOTTV.
- Understand emergency procedures and assist others in emergency situations.
- Access and complete required training topics in Safety, Quality, Communication, and other relevant areas.
Requirements
- Experience in injection or compression molding technology.
- Ability to work with moderate mechanical ability and general knowledge of the CSI product process flow.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in compression or molding.
