About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People & Culture to join our team at Texas Health Action. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define a strategic vision for the People and Culture function that aligns with THA's mission and goals.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Implement a talent acquisition strategy that attracts diverse, high-quality candidates and includes a robust talent pipeline for roles that are difficult to fill or have frequent turnover.
  • Employee Development & Training: Oversee professional development programs that support employee growth and increased organizational capability.
  • Performance Management & Employee Relations: Establish performance management processes that foster a culture of clear performance expectations, continuous feedback, and cooperative improvement.
  • Data & Technology Integration: Utilize technology, data, and analytics to streamline processes, inform HR strategies, and enhance decision making.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging: Champion the integration of DEIB principles into workplace policies and practices.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Maintain competitive compensation structures and benefits packages aligned with available budgetary resources.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while promoting best practices in people management.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills & Abilities: Expert knowledge of HR best practices, talent management, benefits administration, employment law, and organizational development principles. Strategic thinker with a hands-on, collaborative approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Based on job duties and requirements, this position is placed in pay grade 49 with a full-time, annual salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus a performance incentive structure.
