Patient Access Services Lead

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Services Lead to join our team in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling processes.
In this critical role, you will oversee the daily operations of Patient Access Services, including staff supervision, training, and performance evaluation. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining effective workflows, optimizing resources, and enhancing patient satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:- Ensure adequate staffing levels for optimal patient flow and service delivery.
- Oversee the admitting function, including registrations, insurance verification, and other related tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and statistics.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of care.
- Serve as a liaison between Patient Access Services, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems, making informed decisions that impact patient care and operational outcomes.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare operations, preferably in patient access services or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in financial counseling, admission and registration, or medical billing is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is also necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is essential, as well as knowledge of health insurance, managed care, and/or third-party liability type insurance.
