Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our team at Profound Medical. As a Clinical Scientist, you will play a critical role in educating, mentoring, and collaborating with urologists, radiologists, and their staff on the technical and clinical aspects of MRI-guided transurethral ultrasound ablation of the prostate using our TULSA-PRO system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to physicians and staff on the use of our TULSA-PRO system, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Clinical Education: Develop and deliver educational programs to urologists, radiologists, and their staff on the clinical applications and benefits of our TULSA-PRO system.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of our TULSA-PRO system into clinical practice.
  • Research and Development: Contribute to the design and execution of clinical trials and studies to support the development and validation of our TULSA-PRO system.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert within the company, providing technical and clinical education for our sales, marketing, engineering, and management teams.
Requirements
  • Education: PhD or Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience: Track record of clinical, scientific, and technical contributions in the field of MR-guided therapeutic procedures, including conference presentations and first-author publications.
  • Skills: Technical experience with MRI, in-bore interventions, or therapeutic ultrasound in a clinical, research, or industry environment.
  • Attributes: Ability to build rapport quickly, establish trust and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of external and internal stakeholders, and excellent communication and teaching skills.
