Job Description

PLX Inc. is a leading provider of high-accuracy complex optical structures that withstand non-optimal conditions. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials and products meet our exacting quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and diligence throughout the organization.
  • Provide strong leadership and management to build a high-performing quality control team.
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Review and approve corrective actions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain the quality system, including procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
  • Ensure internal audits are carried out regularly and defects are addressed in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints related to quality.
  • Train staff on optical and mechanical metrology equipment used for inspection.
  • Understand and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and instructions to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections, record results, and submit customer reports.
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and metrics related to quality.
  • Inspect production procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain the calibration system and ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Executive team.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership skills and experience as a quality manager with a minimum of 10 years.
  • ISO 9001 quality system experience, including managing audits and recertification.
  • CMM expertise and ability to teach others in operation and programming.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
