Job Title: Nurse Director Quality Acute Care Hospital

Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Director to lead our Acute Care Hospital team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate root cause analysis of adverse occurrences and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate and respond to patient grievances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement robust performance improvement activities to drive quality and safety initiatives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the development of the hospital's capital and operating budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and The Joint Commission requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital setting with at least three (3) years in a management or Director level role required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral presentations in a way that inspires understanding and trust.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly and with professionalism.
  • Conflict management skills with the ability to tactfully navigate issues while building trust and bringing clarity to conversations.
