We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. As a key member of our examination team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and soundness of the nation's financial system.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth analyses of asset and liability management at banking organizations, focusing on liquidity, interest rate, and investment securities risks.
- Assess how banks structure balance sheets, derivative contracts, and execute liquidity risk management strategies to facilitate ongoing safe and sound operations.
- Lead meetings with executive leaders at financial institutions, understand and communicate the root cause of potential issues or concerns, and produce clear and concise written documents and reports.
- Collaborate with team members and reach consensus with a wide range of audiences, leveraging strong interpersonal skills.
- Provide guidance to banking executives and coach team members to foster maximized performance.
- Invest in the development of your peers by proactively sharing knowledge and regularly providing peer-level feedback.
- Minimum of 4 years of banking industry experience related to asset and liability management.
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in an applicable field, or relevant work experience.
- Experience demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20-30 percent of the time.
- Ability to work out of our Kansas City, Denver, Oklahoma City, and/or Omaha office(s).
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Active or dormant examiner commission from a federal or state banking regulatory agency.
- Graduate or advanced degree in business, management, accounting, finance, economics, or management information systems.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certifications.
- Competitive salary range: $92,400-$174,200.
- Flexible/hybrid schedule.

This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed.
