Key Responsibilities- The IT Support Specialist will guide clients in the operation of equipment, offering technical support and performing remote diagnostics to identify issues.
- Conducts a range of maintenance and technical assistance on products, including hardware, integrated systems, and software via telephone support.
- Evaluates product performance and conducts thorough analyses.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Installs, upgrades, and decommissions products while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Completes system programming and optimization during installation.
- Engages in routine maintenance and analysis tasks, managing hardware configurations and component replacements.
- Delivers on-site training for end-users regarding system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintains strong communication and relationships with clients.
- Under general supervision, the IT Support Specialist will:
- Handle assignments that are somewhat routine but recognize when deviations from standard practices are necessary.
- Have their work reviewed to prevent potential delays or costs due to errors.
- Assist in training less experienced staff.
- High School diploma with advanced training and 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of a current DISA IAT level II baseline certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the Air Force BMC Remedy trouble ticket system, Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS), and Integrated Data Maintenance System (IMDS).
- Certification in Microsoft Windows 10.
- Must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
