**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Transportation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting Vertical Transportation (Elevator and Escalator) installation and repair of vertical transportation systems in public transportation facilities for compliance with applicable construction codes and technical standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct inspections of traction and hydraulic elevators, escalators, moving walks, and other vertical transportation units.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports for all vertical transportation units.
  • Communicate effectively with contract staff, Resident Engineers, and facility staff.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to coordinate and schedule inspections.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASME A17.1, ASME A17.2, ASME A17.3, ASME A18.1, New York City Building Code, IBC, and New Jersey Codes.
  • Hold QEI Certification and maintain a valid driver's license.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diversified field vertical transportation inspections.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
