Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a PICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients and families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma from a national accredited nursing school program.
  • RN License (AR or Compact State) - Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS certification (optional).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification in Pediatric Critical Care (PCCRN) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
