Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN II) to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a RN II, you will provide exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in shared governance and evidence-based practice initiatives to improve patient outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Develop and maintain clinical leadership skills, including mentoring and precepting new staff members.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a pediatric intensive care unit or similar setting.
  • RN License (AR or Compact State) from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • Certification specific to patient population (optional).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience in pediatric critical care or similar setting.
