Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Arkansas Children's. As a PICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage the patient's condition, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
  • 6 months of experience in a related field.
  • RN License (AR or Compact State) - Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a pediatric intensive care unit.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
