Position Overview

This role is crucial for overseeing the organization's daily financial functions, which include the preparation of monthly financial reports and the upkeep of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing diverse financial responsibilities and ensuring precise financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Oversee the general ledger and support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Evaluate financial transactions and implement necessary adjustments
  • Input financial transactions required for bank reconciliations
  • Examine financial reports and create accrual entries
  • Compile quarterly analyses and generate accrual entries
  • Reconcile fund balances to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints
  • Engage in financial statement evaluations
  • Manage the fixed asset system
  • Keep abreast of accounting laws and regulations
  • Fulfill reporting requirements for year-end audits and testing
  • Supervise accounting personnel
  • Execute other assigned tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred
  • Experience in accounting within a medical office and fund accounting
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software
  • Meticulous attention to detail with robust analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior management
  • Experience with general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
