Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Polysomnography Technologist III to join our Sleep Lab team. As a Polysomnography Technologist III, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders, including polysomnography, multiple sleep latency, O2 monitoring, and pCO2 monitoring. You will also be responsible for the application and operation of acute care short and long-term mechanical ventilation and the required advanced evaluation in the Sleep Disorders Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders
  • Apply and operate acute care short and long-term mechanical ventilation
  • Conduct advanced evaluations in the Sleep Disorders Center
  • Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments
  • Evaluate the effects of respiratory therapy treatment plans
  • Facilitate the use and maintenance of treatment equipment
  • Coordinate treatment equipment delivery between patients and home care companies
  • Act as a liaison between patients, home care companies, and the sleep center to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
  • High school graduate
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current OH license in Respiratory Care
  • One year of experience in Polysomnography
  • Registry eligible for BRPT exam
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Valid respiratory credential (CRT or RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • One year of Critical Care experience
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Proficient in computer operations/technology
