As the 8th largest commercial insurance provider in the United States, our Loss Control Services team comprises over 100 skilled associates and technical experts. We manage a diverse commercial portfolio that includes traditional, middle-market, and national accounts across various sectors such as construction, manufacturing, real estate management, service industries, and retail.

Role Summary
We are looking for a Loss Control Consultant to perform risk evaluations and offer ongoing advisory services in northern California. Ideal candidates should be based in northern California, particularly in the greater Sacramento area. We seek professionals with extensive multi-line commercial experience to conduct loss control assessments and provide continuous consulting to a range of accounts. A strong background in property risks, manufacturing, and product liability is preferred, with knowledge of Workers Compensation exposures being an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver services aimed at enhancing profitability and customer retention, establishing service objectives based on client goals, risk evaluations, and loss analyses.
2. Engage with clients to identify potential hazards and risks through comprehensive assessments, offering technically sound recommendations for risk mitigation.
3. Conduct thorough research on clients' operations and industry standards to prepare for site evaluations and service engagements.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one line of business, applying advanced technical knowledge.
5. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients and business partners, acting as a knowledgeable resource.
6. Provide consultations to clients, sharing insights and solutions tailored to their business needs, while identifying service opportunities based on loss trends.
7. Effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing, producing detailed reports in a modern workflow environment.
8. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and disseminate information that supports client success.
9. Develop and deliver technical training and publications for both internal and external audiences.
10. Participate actively in professional development and training initiatives.

Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in safety, science, engineering, fire protection, or construction management is preferred.
Certifications: Candidates should hold at least one relevant designation, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Director of Safety (CDS), or Associate of Risk Management (ARM). All state certifications must be obtained as required.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial loss control or a related field is preferred.
Skills: A solid understanding of safety and risk management principles, regulatory standards, and the commercial insurance process is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with various stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional growth, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Conditions
This position requires physical activity, including climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be prepared to conduct site surveys in various weather conditions and environments. Frequent travel may be necessary, and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
